Many students say their professors at NSU Law 鈥渁re available and have an open-door policy. Their office hours feel like an extension of the classroom [but] much more personal,鈥 with one student saying wistfully, 鈥淚 wish I could clone the vigor and enthusiasm of my civil procedures teacher in all my future courses.鈥 But not all NSU Law students speak so highly of the faculty, lamenting that 鈥渕ost of the professors are knowledgeable . . . however, most of them have no teaching skills of whatsoever. They are just proud of who they are and their own achievements.鈥 Others wish for a less 鈥渟ink or swim鈥 attitude when it came to future success. The administration doesn鈥檛 earn high marks either, with students classifying it as 鈥渄isorganized鈥 and adding that 鈥渞egistering for classes is a nightmare.鈥 One student goes so far as to say 鈥渢he school administration is non-existent. In fact, I鈥檝e been here 3 years and I have no idea who the administration is.鈥
The 鈥渇acilities of the law school need serious work. We pay a lot in tuition that does not appear to be going to the law school.鈥 One student notes that 鈥渕ore law students go to the public library than our own,鈥 due to poor conditions, although another student counters that the NSU Law library 鈥渉as all the resources we need but no one (at any law school) truly utilizes libraries anymore. They鈥檙e outdated and serve less and less any practical purpose.鈥 Most research, say students, 鈥渋s done online on our personal computer[s], not through the library,鈥 though 鈥渋f students want to use the library to go study, that is another matter. There鈥檚 plenty of study area in our library.鈥

In terms of competition among students, one student was surprised that 鈥渢here was certainly a cutthroat mentality when I was a 1L鈥 and 鈥減lenty of phony outlines鈥 circulated that were 鈥減urposely changed with false information. If that鈥檚 not cutthroat, I don鈥檛 know what is.鈥
