The University of Akron鈥檚 College of Business Administration offers flexible programs with both full-time and part-time options, including an evening MBA program which qualifying students can complete in as few as twelve months if they meet the required undergraduate course work. An orientation session at the start of the first semester will allow students to get acquainted with the program. From there, it is on to a program devoted to 鈥減reparing you for your future.鈥 Concentrations include finance, international business, management, strategic marketing, supply-chain management, health care, interdisciplinary, and business analytics.
Through a diverse student body, 鈥渉igh competition鈥 among classmates, and an administration willing to 鈥渃hange curriculum to better serve students,鈥 the University of Akron 鈥渞eally prepare[s] its students to excel in the marketplace.鈥 However, one student believes the work is 鈥渕uch less difficult than I had anticipated.鈥 Still others say that 鈥渟ome professors are difficult to approach and to schedule time with,鈥 with the most disgruntled of students claiming a few professors are 鈥渁rrogant and really don鈥檛 want to help students.鈥 This is in sharp contrast to those who find educators at Akron to be 鈥渇riendly and accessible鈥 and a group that 鈥渕ake[s] sure that we learn through discussions and active participation.鈥
In fact, many students are 鈥渁mazed鈥 at the qualifications of the 鈥渇antastic鈥 MBA professors here and are pleased to find 鈥渁n outstanding staff and members of faculty that know what is best for their students to be the future cadres of the worldwide village.鈥 Educators who 鈥渂ring real world, practical knowledge that is second to none鈥 not only help provide a 鈥渞ewarding鈥 educational experience, they also 鈥渋nform you of job opportunities, workshops, internships, clinics, etc.鈥 But do not expect your hand to be held. 鈥淚t is up to you to follow up.
