Academics at Wake Forest follow a holistic approach. The integrated curriculum helps students learn to analyze and solve problems by understanding the many components of a solution. As one student attests, 鈥淭he workload...is generally much more intense than what most students expect coming into the school and in comparison to students at similar schools. However, this intense and well-rounded education has already proven beneficial in my summer internship and in job interviews.鈥�

The administration is 鈥渆asily accessible and from faculty to staff, everyone is friendly. Student voices can be heard.鈥� When it comes to professors, at Wake Forest it鈥檚 a first name, open-door policy. 鈥淎ll of my professors are engaged in my success. The level of dedication is a defining factor that sets Wake Forest apart,鈥� says one student. In addition, the 鈥淒ean has fantastic visions for the school.鈥�

Wake Forest alumni 鈥渁re very open to mentoring and helping with [students] job search.鈥� However, some current MBA students feel 鈥淐areer Development needs to better prepare students for the internship and job search鈥lubs could have more activities that connect students with potential employers.鈥� In addition, current students would like to see more 鈥渄iversity of companies that come to campus.鈥� Right now, 鈥渢he focus is primarily on the Southeast, but they are taking strides to move to a more national scope.鈥� However, others note that the Career Management Center has already been making strides to improve: 鈥淔or example, a dedicated mentoring program and alumni outreach program has been devel- oped and is being implemented.鈥�

According the the School of Business, between all three MBA programs (evening programs offered in Winston-Salem and a Saturday program offered in Charlotte) there are 189 busi- nesses represented, and 33 percent of current students have been promoted since starting the programs.

Wake Forest MBAs are 鈥渙utgoing, dedicated, hard workers who are easy to get along with and fun to be around.鈥� There are countless student activities and the academic work is rigorous, but students love the atmosphere and enjoy getting together to debate key topics of the day or cheer on the Demon Deacons at a basketball game. 鈥淲e are a tight- knit group. Everyone knows everyone for the most part. The week can get pretty busy, but a lot of us play intramurals or pickup games during the week.鈥� Fridays are the time 鈥渨hen we all go out and blow off some steam. Students, even ones on different teams, will help each other out.鈥�

Life on campus 鈥渋s fast-paced and exciting.鈥� The workload is pretty demanding, but there is time for fun.鈥� The student government 鈥減uts on lots of social events that bring most people out to socialize.鈥� There are 鈥渢ons of clubs, activities, both athletic, cultural, and com- munity oriented,鈥� and 鈥渢he town of Winston-Salem also has plenty of dining venues.鈥� The typical day at Wake 鈥渞anges from all-nighter鈥檚 in the study room with your learning team to happy-hour events in the courtyard where students cut loose, to Alive at 5 concerts in downtown. It very much is a work hard play hard atmosphere,鈥� which 鈥減repares you well for the future.鈥� 鈥淨uality of life is part of what makes Wake Forest such a great place to be.鈥� All of student organizations including SGA, honor council, finance club, entrepreneurship club, and charitable events are available to Working Professional students.
