The Lee Business School at the University of Nevada鈥擫as Vegas offers two MBA tracks. One is an evening MBA, which students can complete either fullor part-time, and the other is an Executive MBA, designed for working professionals who plan to continue working full-time while pursuing their MBA. 鈥淔or working students or students, who need to balance family life, this is the perfect environment.鈥 The evening program can be completed in two to four years, and students may opt to concentrate in one of the following fields: finance, human resources management, marketing, management information systems and new venture management. Students must complete forty-eight credit hours, thirty-three of which are devoted to a core curriculum. An accelerated program is open to students in the evening program who have a minimum score of 600 on the GMAT. Students must also exceed the 50th percentile on both the verbal and quantitative skills portion of the GMAT. Another prerequisite for the Executive MBA is an undergraduate business degree from an AACSB-accredited university.

The Executive MBA is an eighteen-month program during which all students follow the same general course of study. Students should have seven years work experience prior to applying, and of those seven years, three must be in 鈥渁 key decision-making role.鈥 Classes take place every Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There is an initial full-week intensive prior to the start of classes. UNLV also offers joint degrees. Students also have the option to pursue one of four dual programs: the MBA/ JD (Juris Doctor), the MBA/DDM (Doctor of Dental Medicine), the MBA/MS in Hotel Administration and the MBA/MS in Management Information Systems. Students choose UNLV due to its 鈥渓ocation, affordability, and flexibility.鈥 It鈥檚 the 鈥渙nly school in the state with AACSB accreditation,鈥 and students say 鈥淯NLV has the best hotel program.鈥 Some wish UNLV offered an additional specialization, one which might help them better prepare for work in 鈥済reen jobs.鈥

鈥淯NLV鈥檚 best attribute is the willingness of its professors to help students. Because half the students work full-time, they are very flexible when it come to scheduling office hours or addressing questions through email.鈥 鈥淧rofessors come prepared for lectures鈥 and 鈥渢reat MBA students like professionals.鈥 The curriculum is 鈥渨ell organized,鈥 and professors stay on top of pertinent issues. 鈥淚 feel I have gotten a superb exposure to the current business environment from them.鈥 Professors are also equipped with bedside manner. They 鈥渁re always friendly and willing to help further explain difficult topics.鈥 Students praise 鈥渢he use of teamwork, in almost every aspect of class.鈥 As for the administration, they 鈥減romptly respond to requests by phone and email.鈥
