Duke鈥檚 Fuqua School of Business has a 鈥渨orld-class reputation鈥 for good reason: Students here are privy to a curriculum made up of 鈥渂alanced case method and lecture-based instruction, experiential learning, student leadership opportunities, 鈥 and alumni engagement.鈥 What鈥檚 more, the program does a tremendous job of ensuring 鈥渆ach student has the skills to work in diverse and dynamic organizations.鈥 Of course, Duke MBAs also derive great benefit from Fuqua鈥檚 鈥渇ocus on 鈥榯eam鈥,鈥 which helps students realize they are 鈥渟marter together than 鈥 on [their] own.鈥 Similarly, there鈥檚 also a 鈥渟chool-wide commitment to developing 鈥楲eaders of Consequence鈥︹ who think critically about the impact their decisions [have] on others and seek to use business for good.鈥 To make that possible, the program is rather accessible: As one MBA candidate highlights, 鈥淭he format of [the] weekend executive program provided tremendous flexibility.鈥 Additionally, 鈥渢he hybrid in-person and Webex class setup also has been useful for situations [in which] attending in person is nearly impossible as classes are recorded.鈥 In turn, this allows Fuqua to 鈥渁ttract talent from all over the country and people already in very senior executive positions.鈥 Ultimately, the school accomplishes its goals by offering the 鈥渂est blend of on-campus and [experiential] learning鈥 around.

Though Fuqua definitely has a 鈥渇ocus on general management鈥 academically, students note that the school maintains a 鈥渢op healthcare 鈥 program鈥 as well. After all, 鈥渂eing in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) area gives us a unique perspective on health care 鈥 [being] nestled within some of the country鈥檚 leading research organizations and medical centers.鈥 Thankfully, no matter your chosen field, the 鈥渙verall professor quality is extremely high here, translating into a very engaged classroom.鈥 And you can rest assured that Fuqua faculty 鈥渒now students by name and take time to chat with them in the hallways.鈥
