Students in the MBA program at Bentley University brag that their program combines 鈥渢he most modern technology available鈥 with 鈥渞eal-world work experience鈥 to provide 鈥渢he best mix of price, location, and quality.鈥 Bentley鈥檚 impressive resources include a 3,500-square-foot facility complete with a trading floor with two Trans-Lux data walls, sixty work stations, an adjacent business suite, and a marketing center that features numerous state-of-the-art research and analysis labs. 鈥淪ome [of the technology] is accessible from home, too,鈥 a boon to the school鈥檚 many commuting part-timers.
Bentley鈥檚 cutting-edge approach extends to its academics. Students pursue 鈥渢he most unique and interesting concentrations鈥 in addition to 鈥渁ll the traditional areas of study.鈥 Unique offerings include Human Factors in Information Design, Business Analytics, and Marketing Analytics, programs that students argue 鈥渁re in line with what is needed in the real world.鈥 Bentley鈥檚 鈥渁ccounting program is the best around,鈥 excelling in both general accounting and taxation. Information technology, unsurprisingly, is also an area of strength.
Bentley鈥檚 many part-time students appreciate the program鈥檚 flexibility (鈥淵ou can take two courses in one night, and there are some online offerings,鈥 a student explains), but warn that 鈥渋t is hard to connect with other students鈥 because 鈥渢here are no real cohorts.鈥 The Bentley MBA and Bentley Emerging Leaders MBA, in contrast, 鈥渋s comparatively small and becomes tight-knit鈥 over the course of the program. For all students, the program is 鈥渋ntense,鈥 but fortunately, 鈥渢he professors and administration are very helpful.鈥 One student points out that 鈥渕any workshops and information sessions exist outside of class,鈥 and as a result students enjoy 鈥渁 very engaging academic experience.鈥 MBAs also appreciate that 鈥減rofessors teach course work in a practical manner. I always leave feeling like I have something I can use the next day.鈥
