Boasting a 鈥渂road program to introduce students to all business specialties,鈥 Butler 鈥檚 focus on 鈥渁pplying real world experiences to the classroom鈥 provides an MBA experience that makes it 鈥渧ery popular鈥 for residents of the region. Flexibility is key here. As one student notes, 鈥淚f you want a concentration that is not offered, professors will work with you to tailor your education needs/wishes.鈥 Concentrations are offered in finance, international business, leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation, and marketing, though students must also take a core curriculum. This is launched by the Gateway Experience, a full day foray into the operations of a local business followed by student analysis. That sort of experience is typical of what students at Butler will enjoy; 鈥渆xecutive mentors (are) provided,鈥 and professors 鈥渉ave been around the block a time or two,鈥 ensuring that this program 鈥渁ttracts a diversely experienced student body.鈥
If flexibility is a hallmark of Butler 鈥檚 education, so is balance. Expect a 鈥済ood balance of difficult and moderately easy classes.鈥 As one student noted, in some classes, 鈥淚 didn鈥檛 need to open the book but in some courses I read every page of the book.鈥 A helpful, 鈥渞esponsive鈥 administration is a frequent target for praise among students. Administrators here 鈥渄on鈥檛 ignore you and always try to be helpful,鈥 ensuring they 鈥渨ork with students on every aspect. A large school wouldn鈥檛 do that, but Butler does.鈥 This school鈥檚 leadership 鈥渋s very willing to make integrating the learning experience with busy careers and family lives鈥 a priority, and it shows in the number of students who juggle active careers and busy class schedules. 鈥淭hey work with students to make sure they are successful while considering students鈥 personal lives.鈥
