NEW YORK, January 31, 2023 / —  Â鶹ɫÇéƬ®—known for its education services and school rankings in dozens of categories—today released its ranking lists of Best Business Schools for 2023.

The company reports these annual rankings in two groups. One lists the best On-Campus MBA Programs. In 18 categories, it names the top 10 schools in each category. Stanford University is #1 on five of the 18 categories of these lists for the second consecutive year. The other group lists the top 50 Online MBA Programs. Indiana University—Bloomington is #1 on this list for the fifth consecutive year.

The complete ranking lists are posted at where they are accessible for free. The ranking list categories and the top schools on the lists for 2023 are shown below.

Â鶹ɫÇéƬ’s Best Business Schools rankings are uniquely based on institutional data the company gathers from administrators at business schools as well as surveys of students attending the schools who rate and report on their experiences at them. The rankings for 2023 are based on surveys in 2021-22 of administrators at 397 business schools offering on-campus and/or online MBAs, and surveys of 29,900 students enrolled in the schools over the past three academic years.

More than 60 data points are factored into company’s ranking list tallies. Some lists are based on data from both the administrator and student surveys.  Some are based solely on data from student surveys. One is based solely on data from the administrator survey. Information about the methodology for the rankings is posted on Â鶹ɫÇéƬ website here.

“We recommend these schools highly and with great regard for the MBA programs they offer,” said Rob Franek, Â鶹ɫÇéƬ's Editor-in-Chief. “Since we developed our b-school rankings more than two decades ago, our goal, every year, has been to help applicants choose the MBA programs best for them.  This is why we collect a broad range of data to compile rankings in multiple categories. In our opinion, no b-school is #1 in all aspects, nor is any b-school ideal for all applicants. However, every MBA program—on-campus as well as online—that made our lists for 2023 offers outstanding academics, superb experiential components, and impressive career services. As important, every one garnered positive ratings from MBA students we surveyed who attend—or are recent grads of—the program.”
