The University of Tulsa operates a rigorous and contemporary MBA program within the context of a small, friendly, private school environment. With a 鈥渓ow student-to-professor ratio,鈥 class sizes are uniformly small, and 鈥測ou really get a chance to develop relationships with the faculty and other students.鈥 In the classroom, the teaching staff gets top marks for experience: 鈥淢any of them are leaders in their fields and have remained very current and relevant to the vast changes we are seeing economically and globally.鈥 They are also excellent educators, and 鈥渁lthough classes are difficult and grades are competitive, the professors are able to drive home the overall picture of what we are studying and why.鈥 Most importantly, TU is a thoroughly supportive environment, so it鈥檚 easy to stay on the right track academically. If a student needs extra help (or just wants to chat), 鈥淧rofessors are all readily available outside of class and genuinely interested in the well-being of each student.鈥 In addition, staff and advisors 鈥渨ork with students to ensure that we follow the right path, are able to do what we want and need to do, and succeed in all areas of our academic lives.鈥 A current student adds, 鈥淚 have had a great experience in regards to the administration, especially the graduate advisor. She has been instrumental in helping me navigate course loads.鈥

Although TU is a small school, the MBA program is constantly working to remain on the cutting edge. With an eye towards industry trends, administrators 鈥渞ecently revamped the course work to reflect what companies stated that they were looking for in MBA grads, and they also are constantly injecting anything current into the courses, seminars, and lectures.鈥 A current student observes, administrators 鈥渁re constantly seeking outside input from various companies and individuals so that their students are as best prepared upon graduation as they can be.鈥 To offer one example, business ethics has been introduced into the curriculum, which students say is 鈥渞efreshing and relevant.鈥 In addition to course work, TU students have the opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities on and off campus. A particularly popular offering, 鈥渢he Friends of Finance organization, brings in CEOs, presidents of Fortune 500 companies, etc., to speak to the business students, and also offers a special session afterwards for students to ask the speaker questions one-on-one.鈥
